Moving forward with Win 10
« on: September 23, 2015, 03:11:13 PM »

With the announcement that Microsoft would be distributing Windows 10 free to users of Windows 7 and newer I installed the preview version as a test and all went well.
I've now Updated my development PC to 10 but have kept 7 on another drive.
I'll start moving all code over and any coding from now on will be done on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
Although I still have Win7 and 8 running on other PCs I intend to update these as well before the free giveaway ends.
Once these are updated I'll be unable to support my software running on the older OS.
10 will run on older PCs as I have it running on a couple of old mini PCs that were running XP.
These are only able to run the 32 bit version due to a CPU limitation.Win 7 & 8 ran as well on these machines but 10 actually runs a little faster.
I did also add more memory to these older machines which most likely helped a lot.
