Ninja Control From CommandLine
« on: September 17, 2015, 10:25:00 AM »

I need to be able to send commands to my Ninja Pan n Tilt camera to move it from one preset position to another, however, I can't figure out how to do it from a command line.  Specifically I'm using iHouse as my HA app and Blue Iris for my security cameras.  I am not using any of the camera functions in iHouse but able to do some level of control between iHouse and Blue Iris (both directions).  I have 2 Ninja's, which I switch between using iHouse.  I'd like to be able to change the preset position from within iHouse Macro's and thought I could do so by sending a command line or X10 trigger to PCC and have it move the camera.  Is this possible?

Thanks
Yancy

I will see what I can find out.
The Ninja addressable power supplies pick which one is On by a power line command.
The Ninja movement is not power line controlled. It is by an X10 RF command.

You should be able to do this with a windows command to PCC
I it should be
Code: [Select]
PcCompanion >SENDRF (housecode)< CamGoPosition1that would be pre-set 1
pre-set 2 would be
Code: [Select]
PcCompanion >SENDRF (housecode)< CamGoPosition2
I don't have a ninja base here to test this and the carots may need to be changed to square brackets
So house code A preset1 would look like
Code: [Select]
PcCompanion [SENDRF A] CamGoPosition1
