I always get excited when I find a program that will interface with PCC.
After going threw several posts at cocoontec I found iSpy
This is as powerful if not more so then BlueIris however it is open source.
It also has a number of cool plug-ins like face recognition and licence plate detection(not 64bit compatible   )

The cool thing I found with this is it will also send a command line argument to another program like Pc Companion this will allow you to perform multiple tasks even send a X10 command.

I've been playing with this for a few days now and have just begun to scratch the surface of possibilities.
This will also accept command line arguments so you can create a user command in PCC to do a number of tasks even start recording.

You can even move your Kinects up or down.
Since it appears Kinects code was a recent add, I anticipate many adds for it in the future.

I just updated this and have been playing with the clone option.
Very cool!
This will allow one to trigger different events using the same camera.
You can monitor a totally different area of the display for motion.
You can use face detection with the main display and other detections for alerts with the clone or visa versa.
Currently I have 2 clones of one camera But I suspect there is no limit as long as you name them differently.
I can't wait to set this up on my HA PC.

I played a bit with the face recognition and had it triggering different User commands in PCC.
I even had it greet me when it seen me in front of the laptop.  
Although this doesn't distinguish my face from someone elses it does detect faces.
With the new clone option you can have it watching different parts of the display area for a face and based off it possibly create some scene lighting.
Since I'm not at my city home currently I can't test this out fully in my HA setup just yet.
I do expect I'll need to do some code tweaking in PCC or iSpy.

WARNING!  AVG triggers a Trojan warning for "Downloader.Generic13.BIZU," as soon as you start to unzip the ISpy downloaded file!  It might be a false positive, but I'm not willing to take the chance.  Maybe the "ISpy" name is more appropriate than we thought.  :lol:

I've installed the 64 bit version maybe there is a difference.

I did a quick scan of the installer and turned up nothing.
I don't like the Ispy website as it links with Google and it is easy to pull up something your not looking for.
The install file is a exe not a zip file so I suspect you downloaded the wrong file from google.
In any case I'm doing another scan with Avast as I find it catches things AVG misses.
I'll also do a full system scan just in case.

Sounds like  ISpy combined with PCC might be a replacement for advanced AHP and some other IP camera apps. Put together. Sounds great. Keep up the good work.

Correct!  That's exactly what happened!  Went back and chose the correct download link, still got a zip file, but this time it's the correct one containing the installer exe.  Sorry for the false alarm!!

So far I'm very impressed with this software.
The developer is active on its forum so issues tend to get looked at quickly.
I tend to find new options daily, so I'm hoping this makes a good combination.

Since most cameras come with microphones it is cool that this will turn them on or off.
But it will also turn the microphone on or off that is attached to any PC on its network with detected motion or no motion.
This may be good for PCC voice recognition for users with a whole house VR setup.
iSpy also has motion tracking for those with pan & tilt cameras though there was a bug in that code.
This has apparently been fixed but I haven't test it out since the update.

Good to know I'll send the developer a PM about this.
However I'm not sure he'll be able to do much as the Google thing seems to be tied into the forum software.

Het T, this is very interesting to me.  I would love to be able to switch microphones on and off for my VR.  As I stated in another post the xbox DJ hero mics work very good for VR with PCC, but it would be awesome to turn them on and off even from a command line that way I could use my kinects to only have mics active in occupied rooms and eliminate a few false commands    

While we are on this topic with microphones, I have been trying to figure out how I can switch the default mic with a command line argument.  I have the DJ Hero mics on my PC,s and they work amazing, but I also have the POCketmic app that you turned me on to for android, but I am able to only get my server PC to listen to one at a time but I would like to be able to send a user command that could change the default mic setting from one to the other is this possible.

Ok so I finally got Ispy all up and running  with all twelve cameras and 4 microphones.     It even has the ability to listen to android devices if pocketmic is running on them and if you have pocket cam it can view the camera as well    I am working on fine tuning the object tracking this is a feature that I have been looking for for awhile.  Since track it for blue iris has been discontinued.  Also for those of you using blue iris ispy can run along side of it which give the best of both worlds.     There are alot of features in both that come in really handy.


   I can't wait to see the kinect stuff when it gets fixed
