RSS Feed Reader
« on: March 08, 2020, 03:06:48 PM »

Soxfan1966 had originally looked into this for displaying stocks and sports scores.
It is from his workings with iframes in widgets which led me to creating the MagWeb widget & Web View program.
from that I started to dig a little deeper and found a web tool that took a RSS feed and spit out code to turn it into a iframe code. It resulted in this which is still a work in progress.

I changed to look a bit and managed to get the feed to auto update.
I'm still playing with ways to hide the scroll bar but still allowing scrolling. As well still looking for away to auto scroll through the feed contents.

I see I'm going to have to totaly re work this program from the ground up inorder for it to do what I want  (cB)
Currently you can only use this for one RSS feed at a time. I see now I'll  want at least 3 feeds maybe even up to 5. This requires the creation of virtual modules and the use of Features instead of Options like the Camera program uses. This part is simple enough I just can't remember how I did it ::) :`) Looking over the cammera code I can get the virtual modules and Features created and access them from each new widget however I can't yet wrap my head arround how to pull in the Features into the code. I just keep going in circles  (DH)

It may be better to just add extra RSS feed urls to this and switch to the next url on refresh, ::) :`) I believe that would be less taxing on HG it certainly would take up less real estate.
