Interfacing Home Genie with HA-Bridge
« on: June 06, 2018, 11:54:29 AM »

I've grown to like HA-Bridge and not just for its Alexa abilities.
You can get it to talk to almost anything even HomeGenie (HG) which will pass commands to different protocols that HA-Bridge may not handle directly like X10.
However I wished to have HG talk to it in looking for ways to do this I discovered the Philips Hue hub interface in HG used very similar code as HA-Bridge used.  :0~
I managed to rework the code so HA-Bridge now works with HG. I posted the HGX file on the HomeGenie forum  here:

To have HA-Brige control X10 see this post

:0~ HA-Bridge now has a HG helper which makes adding HGconfigured devices very simple. Currently this is in a RC testing phase but it allows Alexa control of more HG devices then the HG Echo Bridge service and allows HG to run with security enabled.  `:)
