Pi Images
« on: April 28, 2018, 09:36:56 AM »

I'll use this thread to post links to SD images I've tested.
I only have a Pi Zero W and Pi 3B+ boards so images will be for those.
These images will allow X10 control via a CM15.
If anyone wishes to share a image they have feel free to post a link to it along with what OS is on it, what software is used for X10, what X10 interface you use and what Pi it is running on.

Pi Zero W SD image file
This writes the full Raspbian-Stretch (with desktop) and HomeGenie.
HG has been a bit stripped of many sample devices and I added a few sample X10 devices.
Noobs is also on this image.
I'm unsure if this will work on any other Pi so if you try it and it works on a different Pi then the Zero W let me know.
It should load to the desk top so newbies can setup their Wi-Fi location, IP and change their password.  user/password is: pi/x10box

Pi 3B+ Raspbian-stretch SD image
This writes the full Raspbian-Stretch (with desktop) and HomeGenie.
Noobs is also on this image.
A few X10 devices have been added to HG.
This works both with desktop or command line loaded at boot though it may bog down or lock up using desktop and attempting to do something else.
It loads to desktop for newbie ease of use the user/password is pi/x10box
I'll update this post once the image is ready for download.

Hello
Is the download of "Pi 3B + Raspbian-stretch SD image" possible?
I get an error when I click on the download link in the post ("Page not found
Sorry, it seems you were trying to access a page that doesn't exist"
Please check the spelling of the URL you were trying to access and try again)
Thank you

I'm  away on a two week holliday so unable to check the server. I do remember removing some images and this may well have been one removed due to download errors I'll  look into it as soon as I get back. You can install the Raspbian stretch image for the offical raspberry pi web site the use the instuctions on this site to install HG. It realy is very easy.

The previous images have been or will be removed from the server.
I've created new images smaller (for downloads) which include HomeGenie  there is one specifically designed for the Zero W board which includes a preconfigured HG and is the "PiX10Hub" http://tuicemen.net/downloads/Pi/pihub/PiX10Hub-1-2.7z

the user name is: pi password is: X10user it opens with the pi config screen so you can set up your system you must also expand the file system found in advanced settings of this screen (#7)

Another image which should work with any PI board capable of running the Stretch lite OS even the Pi 3 B+ this installs HomeGenie but it is not preconfigured for x10 so there is more setup work to do. http://tuicemen.net/downloads/Pi/pihub/PiX10Hub-20.7z the password for this is pi  username is raspberry.
Once logged in type sh /boot/HG this will start the configuration screen and copy the script for updating and installing HG.
once you've changed the password, set your location info, network info and resized the sd card reboot.
On reboot type sh installHG
this will take some time to install so grab a coffee or two.
when the installs are done you can open a browser on any device to the address shown at the end of the installs.

I have One more image for an Alexa Hub which has no automation other then interfacing with Alexa you can find it here: http://forums.tuicemen.net/index.php?topic=1332.0

For users that use the HomeGenie image known to work on different Pi Boards  if you wish the Preloaded version of GH that comes with the ZeroW image you can load the following back up from inside HG  just go to configure/maintenance/Configuration and Data click the browse button and navigate to where you downloaded the attached file.
Note: don't unzip the file prior HG will do that.
