Enabling Cortana for Home Automation
« on: March 10, 2018, 08:31:49 AM »

Cortana is a integrated part of Windows now however she doesn't do Home Automation out of the box.
I believe you need the Windows fall preview addition at least.
The option is also available in the USA by default so Us out side of the USA have to tell are PCs to use US options mainly set our language to US English.
Once your PC is up to date click on the Cortana Icon then click on the Notebook Icon on the right(see attached)
In the options that appear select Connected home then in the next screen select enable Connected home to turn it on (select.png)
Next if you have a Philips hue hub select it and follow instructions in the next screen.
do that for any hubs you have.
If you plan to use SmartCloud select SmartThings (no Hub required) but you'll need an account.
