Download link Not Working
« on: February 26, 2018, 07:30:28 PM »

Hey Everyone..
I'm new to using Alex10 , but years with X10..
Every time I hit the Download link it says "Page Not found" like the links broken or something?
I'm pretty computer savvy, and all other links working fine.
any help appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

Update.. Must be my Firefox browser or Windows XP? as I was able to find the link on my Cellphone.. Any suggestions? And I guess has anyone been able to install Alex10 on Windows XP ??

Thanks

I tried the link and the file was found and downloaded.
I have 32 bit XP SP3. Firefox 52.6.0 ESR. It is the last version that supports Java. As I have a ISY994i controller program that needs it. Zone Alarm Free and AVG Antivirus.

Try another browser and be sure you have XP SP3.
Allthough Alex10 was created for Windows 10 it will work with some older versions of Windows.
I believe net framework 4 is required and only SP3 of XP supports that.
I'm not sure if the HA-Bridge will work with older Windows versions.
The newest Java is required for HA-Bridge

Thanks so much for getting back to me..
I was finally able to get the program downloaded with another browser, and I do have XP-Pro SP3 ..
Installed .Net Ver4 no problem
But gets a Java Virtual Machine Launch Error.. something like "Can't find main class.  bwssystem.habridge.habridge. Orogram wil exit" Not verbatim but close..

So you indicated this may be an isshue with XP ?

Should I just install Windows 7 .. I'll likely use another small small low power PC that has Win 7 installed, but if theres a way to test the program on this PC I'd much prefer that first.

Thank you so much for this program and all your support..

Ha-Bridge does require the newest java so I suspect that may be your issue.
It may not be compatible with XP but should work fine on Win 7.
The other option is to use SmartCloud it doesn't require Java but it does take a bit more to setup.
It also requires less PC resources as your modules are setup in the cloud.

The latest versions of Firefox and a few other browsers. Have dropped support of Java.
I have the last Firefox ESR version to support Java. On Windows XP SP3.

Tuicemen you maybe correct. Java keeps telling me a update is available. I select install and the install never happens. The update icon just disappears. I tried the manual way by downloading the small installer program and it also just never happens.

The java support for browsers is basically a plug-in.
Which very few browsers support anymore.

The Java program should at least download though may not install due to incompatibilities, however one should get some sort of install Error popup.

A Launch Error to me indicates a incompatible java version
You should be able to find out what version of java is running on your PC from the Java shortcut found in the Control Panel.
