Speak to the Alexa App!
« on: February 04, 2018, 11:40:01 AM »

This app just keeps improving the latest update included the ability to control your devices by speaking into your phone. `:)
I had previously been using Alexa listens for that so I can now remove that app. (not that I need the space yet)
Just speak to it like you would the echo or dots.

I've been using "Ultimate Alexa" which can run in the background so you don't have to open it each time. I don't use it much since I have so many Dots now.

IPS since your in Canada you have to set up an amazon.com account and use it with the alexa app.
In the app under language select english US.
This should get you the speak option as well as the ability to use geo locked skills.
As for finding apps on google they may also be geo locked away arround that is to look for the apk at apkpure.com and get it from there or another site.
Alexa listens is what i used prior and it worked well

I am using my US account. Otherwise Alexa won’t control devices. I use three dots and also have Alexa app on my iPhone and iPads. It’s works. What I want to do is control devices by calling Alexa when am off grid. Now I can do it x10 commander, AhpPhonePro and Alexa app. None is voice controller. And that’s what I want.
I was just reading that I can even talk to Alexa from my car. Have to read more and check if my car has this ability.
Thanks for your response.
I also asked Amazon. This is what their response is,”
